ON THE BETTER WINE
The better the wine you drink, the more
Better humors will it generate in you,
Avoid drinking the black, it is full
Of earthy particles, hence more sluggish
It makes the body, and not well suited to motion:
You alone will prize that which is clear,
Of many years, subtle, and well matured,
Tempered, and with its minute jets
Sprinkling the eyes, and above all then
