"Terroir is reflected in that organoleptic surplus to which reference is made to explain oenological excellence. Terroir arises from a series of combined relationships pertaining to climate, soil, subsoil and grape variety. The winegrower, aware of having a potential to exploit, interprets its intrinsic capabilities, analyzes this sum of qualitative factors contained within it and tries to obtain a result above and beyond the simple and natural addition of those normalities, making that relationship unique and unrepeatable."
